TechnologyBarchart Data Feeds are sourced directly from leading equity and futures / derivatives exchanges, index providers and news sources providing access to institutional quality and low latency market data and information. Barchart also maintains a variety of sources for fundamental data, as well as proprietary indices and technical data. Our broadcast market data feeds are available through 3 different Market Data Application Programming Interfaces (APIs): .NET, Java and COM/Win32. Our market data APIs are complete with code samples, documentation, and specialized technical support providing an efficient development process. Our broadcast feeds are available in Barchart's proprietary Digital Data Feed (DDF) format which consolidates and compresses direct feeds from each exchange. We also offer broadcast market data feeds in raw or original exchange format, like FAST/FIX. Barchart also offers web services based market data feeds (On-Demand or Query/Response) which utilize HTTP transfer in XML and CSV format, as well as FTP. Barchart Data Feeds can be delivered using leased lines or Internet. We offer a variety of connectivity options including co-location or cross-connects at exchange points-of-presence from such facilities as Equinix. Barchart also provides cloud computing connectivtity options from the Amazon EC2 virtual data center. For more Connectivity information, please visit our Connectivity Solutions section.
